Malay Dance

The main objectives of Malay Dance are to provide members with the adequate skills and techniques to perform for various events and competitions, and to build their self-confidence. In addition, we want to create opportunities for developing and enhancing the leadership potential of our members. We also participated in Share-a-pot VIA with Sunlove Woodlands to instill the values of Gratitude, Respect and Compassion in our students.

Highlights and Achievements

This year the Malay Dancers are honoured to perform and be a part of the school’s GRC Banquet which was held for the first time to launch the values -Grateful, Respectful &Compassionate @Canberra Community and engage parents, partners and alumni as our very important partners (VIPs) in embracing GRC culture.

Besides performing for school events like National Day concert, we are proud to have served the elderly in Woodlands Community through our involvement in the Share-a-Pot VIA where we prepared and served calcium-enriched soup after leading the elderly in an exercise routine and monitoring their progress over a period of 3 months.

We also performed for the public on Sunday, 23 September 2018 at the reopening of Jelutung Harbour Park. 2016 has indeed been a very active and exciting year for us!
