Eco-Warriors Club (New CCA in 2025!)

Launching in 2025, our Eco-Warriors Club is an exciting addition to Canberra Secondary School's CCA offerings – a thriving hub of sustainability, innovation, and eco-consciousness!

The club aims to cultivate environmental awareness and promote eco-friendly practices among Canberrans, aligning with Singapore's Green Plan 2030 and fostering a culture of sustainability and innovation. Members of the Eco-Warriors Club will engage in a variety of hands-on activities through our unique Eco-Science Programme (ESP). These include projects focused on enhancing campus biodiversity, reducing waste, and improving energy and water efficiency. By participating in eco-friendly initiatives and challenge-based learning activities, students will develop crucial skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and environmental stewardship.

Our objectives are:

1. To foster a sense of responsibility towards the environment

2. To encourage participation in eco-friendly initiatives

3. To develop essential life skills, such as critical thinking and problem-solving through Challenge-Based Learning Approach

Members will also have opportunities to participate in inter-school environmental competitions and collaborate on projects with local environmental organizations. As a member of the Eco-Warriors Club, they will:

1. Be empowered to make a difference: Participate in hands-on activities and projects that contribute to a more sustainable future for Singapore.

2. Enhance their knowledge: Learn about environmental conservation, waste management, and renewable energy from experts, guest speakers and through learning journey.

3. Build lifelong skills: Develop leadership, teamwork, and communication abilities through collaborative projects with school and collaboration with higher institutions.

Through their efforts, club members will play a crucial role in shaping a more sustainable and environmentally conscious school community.
