Fostering Partnerships and Prosperity: PSG Welcome Party cum LNW Lohei Celebration
On 6 February 2025, Canberra Secondary School hosted the PSG Welcome Party cum LNW Lohei at Cosmix, bringing together around 100 attendees, including parents and students across all levels, as well as school leaders and staff.

The evening kicked off with a lively Bingo icebreaker led by a PSG Exco member. Enthusiasm filled the air as participants, young and old alike, mingled and bonded through friendly interactions. The vibrant atmosphere set the tone for the rest of the event.
A highlight of the night was the traditional Lohei session, a unique practice during the Chinese Lunar New Year. Many non-Chinese families experienced this festive tradition for the first time, learning its symbolic significance while enjoying the colorful and flavorful dish.

Principal Mr. Leong took the opportunity to share key updates about the school, fostering greater understanding and partnership between parents and the school. PSG Exco Chairman Mr. Poon Boon Kai introduced the Exco team and highlighted the importance of parental involvement, encouraging parents to join and participate in PSG-led initiatives.

Another engaging segment was led by representatives of the school’s long-term partner, Triple Ps Program, which supports positive parenting practices. Through a fun quiz, attendees gained insights into the program and the valuable “Positive Parenting Program” course.
The evening concluded on a joyous note with a group photo capturing the harmonious spirit of the gathering. Guests left with oranges symbolizing prosperity and good fortune, marking a delightful end to an evening filled with community warmth and festive cheer.
This memorable event exemplified the school's strong collaboration with PSG, fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment for parents and students alike.
