International Friendship Day

On 7th April, Canberra Secondary school celebrated International Friendship Day (IFD). To show appreciation to our migrant friends for their contributions to Singapore, all Canberran staff and students came together to raise funds to buy breakfast sets for them. Some teachers and student leaders helped to give out the breakfast sets to the migrant workers in the morning. The migrant workers were pleasantly surprised by the simple act of compassion by the Canberran family.

During the morning recess programme, the Parent Support Group set up booths in the canteen, where students enjoyed various international delicacies. Thereafter, the commemoration of IFD continued through the CCE lessons for all levels. Students were reminded to appreciateSingapore’s relations with neighbouring countries and beyond. Moreover, they were also visually treated to a video where our international students and teachers shared about their experiences living in Singapore.
