Student Suggestion Scheme (SSS)
Students’ Advocacy @ Canberra Secondary School – Students’ Suggestion Scheme (SSS)
At Canberra Secondary School, we recognize the immense value of students' voices and place a strong focus on nurturing proactive leaders. Our Student Suggestion Scheme is a key initiative that encourages students to share their ideas for enhancing the school community. This scheme not only empowers students but also promotes a sense of ownership and responsibility towards their school environment and experiences.
Process
-
Termly Review: The Student Council EXCO reviews suggestions from the SSS survey each term.
-
Presentation and Dialogue: Selected suggestions are discussed with the School Leaders as well as other student leaders.
-
Implementation and Announcements: Approved suggestions are put into action, and updates are shared with the school.
-
Review of Implementations: The effectiveness of implemented suggestions is assessed to decide if they should continue long-term.
Implemented Suggestions
Through the Student Suggestion Scheme, several student-initiated ideas have been successfully implemented:
