Hosting of students from Hwa Chong Institution
In March 2026, Canberra Secondary School hosted twenty students from Hwa Chong Institution (HCI) for a week-long local student exchange programme. Sixteen Canberrans served as hosts, welcoming their HCI counterparts to lessons and co-curricular activities.
The exchange fostered cross-cultural understanding, strong interpersonal bonds, and meaningful conversations between students from different educational backgrounds. It concluded with a farewell session and group photographs — mementos of friendships built across school boundaries.
This programme reflects Canberra's commitment to developing Canberrans who are open-minded, resilient, and ready to engage with the wider world.
